What is MEM Gong Yoga?
MEM stands for Muscle Emotion Meridian. It is based on the principles of Chiropractor muscle testing study, Traditional Chinise Medicine Meridians, Chi flow, Yoga and resistance work, to find the intricate relationship between our physical and emotional body.
During the training we learn how to work target muscles responsible for specific emotions and through a series of exercises, breath work, sound and intention break through old patterns and release old emotions held in our body.
Are the asanas/excersises mainly from Kundalini Yoga or any other tradition?
The asanas/kriyas are not linked specifically to any system or tradition and are totally complementary to any and all! There is maybe a similarity to Kundalini Yoga in the way it is practiced. But it is not a replacement to any system. This technique was created by the Great Gong Master Don Conreaux. Through this practice we aim to find the intricate relationship between our physical and emotional body and how to heal through working in a holistic way.
The MEM Gong Yoga is a simple, accessible system and can be adjusted to the physical and emotional needs of each individual. Anyone can practice it, independent of age.
In the MEM Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance, the terms Enlightenment, Samadhi and Liberation, Bliss are all about the Release of Creative Power within ourselves. Freedom of creativity is a Gong Consciousness. It is also an indicator of physical-emotional-mental-
spirtual fullness of resonance.
Your life force will be greatly increased through breathing techniques, by following certain patterns of Meridian Chi Flow, and by applying inner muscular contractions called “locks” that release endocrine hormones of the 7 Ductless Glands which feeds into the arterial/vascular system. You will experience the “re-youthing” effects as you transform your resistance and strength training by this complete yoga kriya method.
MEM Gong Yoga Exercises are practiced between 30 – 90 seconds each, can be adapted to all ages and safe enough for almost all conditions.
MEM GONG YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
The aim of MEM Gong Yoga teacher training is to become a yoga design scientist, able to select the Yoga exercise, the pranayama, and the meditation in order to lead a therapeutic MEM Gong Yoga session, followed by a deep Gong or Sound Bath.
There are stages involving the certification of MEM Gong Yoga Teacher:
First is Beginning Apprentice:
This focus on individual practice and understanding the principles of MEM Gong Yoga Kriya;
Second is Intermediate Apprentice:
Designing the MEM Gong Yoga Kriya in order to lead the practice of Kriya MEM Gong Yoga in public;
Third is Advance Apprentice:
Studying the advanced principles of Chi-ometry the great wheel of correspondences.
This may be achieved with a total of 15 to 18 days comprising of a total of 126 study hours split into 3 to workshops with time between to complete assignments and assimilate teachings.
Following Advanced Apprentice level workshop you will receive Certification as a MEM Gong Yoga Teacher.
After this advanced level is achieved comes the post graduate level, in which the MEM Gong Yoga teacher teaches teachers to become teachers. This is called the Craftsman Level or “Master of the Craft”. This level is not necessary for professional MEM Gong Yoga Teachers who are conducting public classes.
You are welcome to come only to the first program, which will give great rejuvenation of your body, mind and spirit, together with an abundance of practical knowledge and wisdom for continued well being.
For those who are already yoga teachers, this course will be a very useful tool for the design and understanding the effects of each asana to draw a lesson with a specific therapeutic approach.
Depending on the previous knowledge and experience of the yoga teachers attending, the total number of required study hours may be less. Depending on confirmation some students may not require 18 days of training to become certified for practicing the method, but may after a shorter time of training become a MEM Gong Yoga Teacher.
The MEM Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance does not replace or contradict any other form of Yoga.
You are welcome also to come only to the first 6 days course, which will give great rejuvenation of your body, mind and spirit, together with abundance of practical knowledge and wisdom for continue your wellbeing and rise in consciousness.
In the first week of training you will learn how to practice gong yoga for yourself, how to revitalize and strengthen your body, relax your mind and emotion, clean old programs that do not serve you anymore.
Location of the 39 muscles on which we will work;
Introduction to the chi flow of 24 hours;
Understanding chi flow of 24 hours in relation to a physical / emotional conditions;
Design an individualized and personalized kriya for specific physical / emotional condition;
Drawing of kriyas to heal specific problems.
